Merchandise Re-buyer

Purpose:

The primary function of the Merchandise Re-buyer is to continually manage a group of items, as assigned by the Group Manager – Replenishment, to assure GrandBrands will maximize business and profitability.

Essential Functions:
  • Review and validate weekly sales and inventory data to ensure optimum inventory levels necessary to meet projected sales demands.
  • Modify recommendations based on promotional and seasonal trend
  • requirements.
  • Build a rapport with Warehouse personnel to ensure execution and allocation
  • deadlines are met
  • Collaborates with and supports buyer with strategy building, assortment
  • planning, product development, sampling, sourcing, purchasing, in store &
  • online merchandising & marketing, store allocation, and in-season
  • management in order to maximize sales and profits
  • Must support GrandBrand Core Values on a daily basis.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with team to increase sales opportunities

General Warehouse Associate

Purpose:
The GWA is cross-trained and certified in multiple areas of the warehouse operations and deployed to flex throughout the day as assigned by management. This role is designed to provide internal upward mobility as specialty positions become open.

Job Requirements/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to be cross-trained and functional in multiple skill sets.
  • Ability to multi-task and report to different departments each day as assigned by management.
  • Must support GrandBrand Core Values on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to work a schedule that supports the needs of the business.
  • Lifting and movement of merchandise with a forklift
  • Unloading and loading of trucks

Physical Demands / Environment :
  • Ability to lift on average 50lbs with assistance. This could be a dual role in the office and warehouse, so long periods of time on your feet and at a desk.
  • The warehouse is exposed to external temperature.

Tools / Equipment:
  • Will be around machinery and moderate noise level. Forklift experience is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office a plus.

Sales Associate

Purpose:
Sales Associates are vital to delivering the guest experience that offers a distinctive shopping experience and drives sales results. While all positions within GrandBrands require working as part of a team to meet department and store objectives, your individual responsibilities as a Sales Associate may include demonstrating outstanding guest service and selling skills.

Essential Functions:
  • Meeting and making a connection with guests, asking questions, and listening to their needs, then giving options and advice on meeting those needs.
  • Inspiring the guest to purchase, celebrating the purchase, and creating a lasting positive impression of you, GrandBrands, and the overall experience.
  • Maintain a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting GrandBrands commitment to our guest – the most important person in our stores.
  • Develop product knowledge by reading current vendor tags and pamphlets and attending training classes in order to communicate it to the guest.
  • Maintain sales goals and selling standards as specified by management.

Delivery Driver — Shuttle/Repo Drivers

Reports to: Asst. Distribution Center Manager

Department: Distribution Center

Purpose:

The Deliver Driver must ensure safe operation, loading and unloading of a given delivery truck. The Delivery Driver ensures safe and timely deliveries to customer locations. The Driver will maintain vehicle(s) with correct fluids, clean interior/exterior and timely completion of delivery records. The Delivery Driver ensures all deliveries are made to customer's place of business and/or job site.

The Delivery Driver Associate will work in a team environment to meet overall Distribution Center production goals and objectives. The Delivery Driver assists with cleanliness throughout the Distribution Center and ensures a safe working environment

Essential Functions:
  • Delivery and set up of furniture in customer’s home, removing old furniture when necessary. Complete all paperwork involved.
  • Meets or exceeds performance standards determined for each of the functions with assigned duties.
  • Help with work orders as part of the daily delivery route.
  • Help upload freight trucks.
  • May help unpack and sample merchandise to the sales floor.
  • Responsible for the condition of the truck and responsible to write daily truck maintenance reports.

Recycler — Facilities Maintenance Associate

Reports to: Delivery Floor Supervisor

Department: Warehouse

Purpose:

The Recycle-Facilities Maintenance Associate performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, sorting, lifting and moving materials. The Recycle-Facilities Maintenance Associate also assists in a wide variety of functions involving manual labor tasks as needed.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensures a neat and clean work environment by cleaning work areas and discarding materials in the proper manner.
  • Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes and recommendations .
  • Compliance with all safety procedures.
  • Responsible for sweeping floors, cleaning up debris around the warehouse, breaking down boxes and recycle, emptying garbage and keeping restrooms clean and well stocked.

Purpose:

A legal avoidance specialist's main goal is to avoid all accounts from the any legal actions being initiated and assist getting the customer back to the Connections Department. The position involves stopping any current legal actions, reestablishing the customer payment history, a comprehensive review of an account that may need extending the contract terms and any available payment plan options. This position will provide strategic management of accounts and relationships with customers.

Essential Functions:
  • Contact customers regarding their account and set up acceptable payment arrangements to bring their account up to date
  • Excellent/professional oral and written communication skills with both internal and external customers and peers
  • Excellent listening skills

Unloader Associate

Purpose:

The Unloader Associate oversees continuous data entry and the logging and inspections of inbound merchandise shipments. The Unloader Associate will work in a team environment to meet overall Distribution Center production goals and objectives. The Unloader Associate assists with cleanliness throughout the Distribution Center and ensures a safe working environment.

Essential Functions:
  • Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Meets or exceeds performance standards determined for each of the functions within assigned duties. 
  • The Unloader Associate must be able to perform all core receiving functions on an as needed basis, including but not limited to stocking, organizing, unloading trucks, receiving, labeling, assisting with office duties, and storing finished goods
  • Checks for damaged goods
  • Verifies quantify and quality of orders
  • Verifies items received with purchase order; wrap packages and ships supplies
  • Delivers and retrieves product(s) to and from work or storage areas
  • Tags all products with correct receiving labels
  • Participates in physical inventories of Distribution Center
  • Maintains inventory records by adding or deleting products as they are shipped or received
  • Operates computer systems to enter and correct information as needed
  • Keeps shipping/receiving and Distribution Center areas clean
